HOW TO IMMERSE THE PHYSICAL BODY INTO THE CHARACTER'S PSYCHOLOGICAL RETREAT?

This project was developed through a series of performative experiments in order to translate Manhole 69 Ballard's short story into performative space. The story raises the problematics of human's laboratory experiments, obsession of control and the readjustments of the body within different perceptions of reality. The performance searches for the possibilities of placing one within characters' reality/role, as they get stuck within their imagination unabling them to fit / engage with the real scale of the surrounding space. Therefore, the scale of the real physical body of the audience is questioned because all pieces designed for the several spaces have different scales within them avoiding a scale reference.

THE RAT IS AN ALLUSION TO HUMAN EXPERIMENTS AND MANIPULATION THAT TRANSFORMED A HUMAN ALMOST IN A LABORATORY RAT.  BUT THIS TIME,  THE RAT IS WHO IS DOING THE EXPERIMENTS IN HUMANS (ME).
